Anthony Galeano
Director
Anthony “Master Tony” Galeano serves as a Director for Desert Duals and brings decades of experience in martial arts instruction, officiating, and athlete development. A 5th Degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and founder of Carlson Gracie Henderson, Tony has played an important role in growing martial arts throughout Las Vegas and across the United States.
Tony is recognized as one of the first registered American Black Belts under Carlson Gracie Las Vegas in the IBJJF and is also recognized as the first Thai American American BJJ and Judo Black Belt. Throughout his career, he has competed, coached, and officiated at high levels across multiple disciplines including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, and wrestling.
In addition to his coaching background, Tony has held numerous leadership roles within the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), including Pacific West Coast Athletic Director for Judo and Strength Sports, Nevada State Chair for Powerlifting, Olympic Weightlifting, and Judo, and Nevada State Meet Director for Powerlifting and Olympic Weightlifting.
As a coach and mentor, Tony has helped develop numerous state champions, national champions, and world level athletes while continuing to support youth and adult martial arts programs throughout Nevada. His passion for mentorship, discipline, and community involvement aligns closely with the mission of Desert Duals and its commitment to supporting veterans, active duty service members, and athletes through camaraderie, competition, and community.
